We can offer 200-250 bird fully driven pheasant and partridge shooting for parties of 8 to 10 guns giving normally five main drives taken from the choice of nineteen on offer.
The topography of the Scottish borders lends itself to showing some of the best presented pheasants and partridges in Scotland. Comments from one of our shooters said we have shown five of the best presented drives he had ever seen. A former world champion clay shot also commented on us having shooting for the big boys.
A Typical Fully Driven Day
Walked Up and Semi Driven Shooting
For the less experienced guns or those who prefer a smaller day 'we can offer 50 to 100 bird days of pure walked up or semi driven shooting days using our smaller drives and rough shooting areas on the estate. These will be equally enjoyable days but without all the extras provided on a fully driven day.
We have been offering dedicated Partridge Days for a number of seasons now which have proved very successful. The drives are easily accessible by all and as the birds launch themselves from the heather clad hills across picturesque valleys you will see exactly how challenging they are to shoot.
Dog Trials and Dog Training Days
At the beginning of September we offer dog training days for competitors to train their dogs on the kind of ground they can expect on field trials, these are usually 40 birds per day for six handlers and six guns. We have also successfully held Dog Trials for a couple of two day open stakes for the last four years.
